This week started on an unusual note, as we enjoyed a two-day break for the vibrant Onam celebrations. For me, these holidays held a special priority — spending quality time with my family. It’s a promise I made to myself, as I’ve often heard my parents complain about not being able to reach me or spend enough time together. The holidays turned out to be fantastic — I caught up with friends, met cousins and other relatives, and most importantly, dedicated ample time to my family.

Returning to Trivandrum on Wednesday morning, I had a feeling that this would be the shortest week of my CareStack journey. However, it also held a crucial highlight in the form of an Assessment. The technical session on HTML and CSS on Wednesday ended earlier than usual, and our instructor kindly extended the deadline for the day’s assessment so that we get some time to prepare. But, the real challenge was deciding what to prepare for the assessment, considering the vast amount of topics we had covered. Amidst this confusion, I found myself in bed early that day.

Thursday saw us back at the office, eagerly anticipating the Assessment. However, our wait seemed endless. An interesting twist came when HR walked into our room. We engaged in an interesting conversation, taking the opportunity to ask him questions and get to know him better.

Finally, around 4 PM, our wait ended as we received the assessment, with the deadline set for Saturday evening. The real work began as we brainstormed solutions for the project we were tasked with. Collaborating with teammates to solve complex problems is always an enjoyable challenge. After extensive discussions and debates, we formulated design plans and delved into coding.

I stayed at the office until late night that day (technically, it was the next day) and continued our work, knowing that the technical session on Friday had been canceled. We even gathered at the office on Saturday, fully committed to completing the assignment. Despite all our efforts, I found myself unable to submit a complete solution on time.

This assessment was a significant learning experience, offering insights into managing tight deadlines and how to approach tasks when time is limited and requirements are specific.
